Live Nation is pleased to present the Irish vocal group, Celtic Thunder, at the NYCB Theatre at Westbury on Sunday, September 23 at 2 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. with what promises to be one of the most entertaining shows they have ever performed.
Celtic Thunder live shows are known for their dramatic effects via lighting and choreography as well as their stage presentation with authentic Irish instruments.
The performances have dramatic solos, compelling ensembles, and comedic acts. Celtic Thunder has been seen by millions on their popular PBS specials and they have performed a record number of sold out shows across the globe. They were hailed as Billboard’s Top World Artist, Album and Imprint for 2009 and 2011. In concert, expect to hear all your favorite Celtic Thunder hits. The boys of Celtic Thunder and the Celtic Thunder band will get you moving with “Place in the Choir,” and “Song for the Mira” as well as solos such as “All Day Long,” “The End of the Innocence,” “Black Is the Colour,” “A Bird Without Wings” and many more! Since the group’s formation in 2007, they have released numerous CDs and DVDs including their current releases entitled VOYAGE. The new album features a rousing version of “Galway Girl,” the theatrical “Dulamon,” and the Irish drinking song, “Seven Drunken Nights.”
The album also features covers of Harry Chapin’s “Cat’s In the Cradle,” Billy Joel’s “She’s Always a Woman” and Garth Brooks’ “Friends in Low Places.”
