Save Some Money

Dear Editor,

I have discovered, thanks to my doctor’s receptionist, a way to save money on prescriptions. I am out of state for the time being. I needed to get a 30- day supply of an important medication filled. I went to the local supermarket out here and asked how much myaprescription would be. My state specific insurance would not cover the cost in this state. I was told it would cost $84. Needless to say, though I have the money, I declined. My doctor’s receptionist suggested I try a mom and pop drugstore as they tend to be cheaper than the chain pharmacies. They usually are. My cost at a small pharmacy? $24.99. I suggest this to people, even those who have a co-pay – try the smaller pharmacies or at least call for a quote and see how much you may save. You could be surprised and, happy with the answer you will get. JOHN BRENNI
