Lee Takes Command Of Coast Guard Cutter
In 2000, The Wave ran a story about Belle Harbor residents Michael and Christian Lee. Michael had just graduated from the Coast Guard Academy as an ensign and Christian, who was a Coast Guard lieutenant, awarded him his bars. Fast forward 20 years, and Christian is now a full commander in the Coast Guard and has just assumed command of the Cutter, “USCG Richard Etheridge.” The cutter, just coming into service, was commissioned in Port Everglades, Florida and will be homeported in Miami.
