The Emily Basher Tournament begins this week, Thursday, August 23 and continues to the next week, August 30. It is the better-scoring game of the two. Play begins at 7:45 p.m. Pick you own foursome BUT have someone else record your score. If you can only make one of the two weeks that is acceptable…. just come out and have fun!
Our closing luncheon will be held on Thursday, September 13 at Russo’s on the Bay.
The co-chair ladies, Jane Donnelly Higgins and MaryEllen Hogan are looking for donations for the raffle. Please bring them to the Catholic Club after golf on the 23rd. And yes, we will meet back at the CC after these two tournament dates. The cost of the luncheon is $45.00 for members and $55.00 for non-members. Checks should be made out to “Par Tee Golf.”
On Tuesdays the Breezy Ladies play golf at the “Marine Park Golf Course.” We would like to thank Sweet William for his competent handling of all our situations. His patience and sense of humor are sincerely appreciated. Thank you, Sweet William!
Thanks goes out to Coach Don Kent for this joke… The golfer stepped up to the tee and drove off. The ball sailed down the fairway, leaped onto the grass, and rolled in the hole. The golfer threw his club into the air with excitement.
“Have you suddenly gone crazy?” asked his wife, who was trying to learn the game. “Why, I just did a hole in one!” yelled the golfer. “Did you?” his wife asked placidly. “Do it again, dear. I didn’t see you.”
God Bless. Have a great week!
