Albany Graduates Five Locals
The State University of New York at Albany awarded 2,870 degrees during its Spring Commencement weekend, May 19 to 20.
Five local students were recognized during the University’s 168th Commencement.
Bachelor of Arts degrees were awarded to Brett Copeland of Neponsit, Justin Horan of Belle Harbor, James Joseph Brown of Rockaway Park and Mike Bresnahan of Breezy Point. Michelle Lavin of Belle Harbor graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree.
The University at Albany – SUNY – is an internationally recognized research university with 58 undergraduate majors and 128 graduate degree programs.
The school is well regarded for its many diverse fields of study, including public policy, criminal justice and nanotechnology.
