Jewel Wolfe died on July 15 at the age of 82.
Born in Detroit, Michigan, Wolfe lived in Rockaway for the last years of her life.
She worked as an aide at the Greater Harlem Nursing Home for many years and was a dedicated member of the Fellowship Covenant Church.
Wolfe was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Sam Wolfe and her two daughters, Margo Hardaway and Ella Wolfe.
She is survived by two daughters, Eunice Wolfe and Denise Wolfe; brother, Donald Jackson; sister–in-law, Patricia Jackson; grandchildren, Jameel Wolfe, whom she raised, Richard Brown, Raynel Bozeman, Randi Bozeman Christina Hardaway, Christopher Hardaway, Justin Kelty and Alyssa Simmons; great-grandchildren; niece, Vanessa Jackson; grandniece, Jasmine; a special friend, Sister Adam who visited her every Monday and a host of cousins and friends.
Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Jeremiah C. Gaffney’s Funeral Home, Inwood, Long Island.
