Playoffs Coming Soon For St. Francis Summer Classic

With two nights remaining in the St. Francis Summer Classic regular season, the playoff matchups are nearly set. Rockaway Little League has secured first place in Boys Grammar Middle after winning a tough matchup with Breen Electric. The Wave, T. Moriarty & Son, Kill, Wood Ace & Mann, and NY Surf School join Breen Electric in a logjam behind the Little League.

Cyberzone finished their slate 6-2, with Zella Lane Racers, and Denis S. O’Conner bidding to join them for regular season honors in the Boys Grammar Senior division.

Total Office Planning leads the Boys High School division with one game to go. The Orangemen can still tie for first and JG Electrical Installations and BRS Bullets are serious playoff threats.

The Rock Park All-Stars are the last undefeated team in Men’s Open division. Caiazzo plumbing has one loss and Slices & Ices, St. Camillus Spring League, and Richard Kenny Law have two each.

Rockaway W.I.S.H. earned the top seed in the Girls Grammar Senior division. Walsh Properties, 265 Entertainment, and Belle Harbor Breezy Point Physical Therapy will give them a run in the playoffs.

In Women’s Open play, Rockaway Seafood Company lost their first game, but remains in first place. Elegante moved up to second. Harbor Light and Jameson’s are in the middle of the pack. Bungalow Bar picked up its first win. The Graybeards division championships were Thursday night and the champions are Gray in the Legends division and Blue in the Young Guns.

The Girls High School division is now underway and will continue this week on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday in the gym. The second grade, Boys Grammar Junior, and Girls Grammar Junior will finish this week. The playoff schedule this week is as follows: Monday - Quarterfinals for Boys Grammar Middle, Boys Grammar Senior, Boys High School, and Girls Grammar Senior.

Tuesday - Quarterfinals for Boys Grammar Middle, Boys Grammar Senior, Boys High School; Semi-finals for Girls Grammar Senior.

Wednesday - Semi-finals for Boys Grammar Middle, Boys Grammar Senior and Boys High School. Thursday - Quarterfinals for Men’s Open Championships are the following week.
