Wellesley Williams, a longtime Rockaway resident, died July 8.
Williams was born in St. Elizabeth, Jamaica. He was a Wise Potato Chip franchise owner and lived in Rockaway for 15 years.
He is survived by his significant other of more than 30 years, Ruby Jones; Kianesha Pemberton, Quinn Pemberton and Christian Roberts; children, Wellesley Augustus Williams Jr., Dr. Celestine Marie Faines (Anthony), John Fitzgerald Williams Sr. (Annette), Jonathan Williams, David Williams, Karen Williams and Indira Johnson- Bey Goodwin; siblings, Owen A. Williams, Izet Williams, Valentine Williams, Hyacinth Williams, Everett Williams-Dennis and Avis Williams; grandchildren, Justina Nicole Harvin (Stacey), John Fitzgerald Williams Jr. (Quiannta), Shantel Monae’ Fields, Drew Donte’ Kithcart, Jalen Williams, Alfredo Williams Sr., Jessica Shevon Wilson and Malcolm Augustus Perry; great- granddaughters, Gabriel Nicole Williams, Danielle Williams, Zoey Johnson and London Natalia Williams; great-grandson, Alfredo Williams Jr.; cousins, Gretel, David, Winnie, Alvest, Pauline, Calty, Ramona and Frank.
Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Jeremiah C. Gaffney Friendship Chapel, Inwood, New York.
