Napolean Battle

Security Officer

Napolean Battle, a longtime Rockaway resident, died July 7.

Battle was born in Brooklyn, New York on January 29, 1957. He was a security officer who lived in Rockaway for more than 10 years.

Battle was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Lillian Battle.

He is survived by his sisters, Lavern Shuler, Dorothy Young and Brenda Battle; brother, Timothy Battle; brothers-inlaw, Leevon Young and Wilbur Shuler; godparents, Mr. and Mrs. Coleman; daughter, Danielle Battle; grandsons, Jerome Jenkins Jr., Dayzon Jenkins and Ranette Battle; uncles, Bishop Nathaniel Williams and Fred Johnson; aunt, Eldress Willia Mae Williams; one great-niece, five great-nephews and a host of other nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Funeral arrangements and service were entrusted to Jeremiah C. Gaffney Friendship Chapel, Inwood, New York. Interment followed at Forest Green Cemetery, Morganville, New Jersey.
