100 Years Of U.S. Marine Corps Aviation

A Marine Corsair plane. A Marine Corsair plane. Join historian Bernie Feuer to commemorate the 100th Anniversary of U.S. Marine Corps aviation at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 11 in Hanger B, the home of the Historic Aircraft Restoration Project, at Floyd Bennett Field in Brooklyn.

Feuer will be presenting a show called “Semper Fi” in which you will follow, view images of and fly with U.S. Marine Corps Aviation from the skies of France in World War I, to the Banana wars of the 1920s and 1930s, to Wake Island, to Henderson Field on Guadalcanal, to Bloody Peleliu and Iwo Jima during World War ll, to the hills and ridges of Korea, to the jungles of Vietnam, and the desert sands of Iraq and Afghanistan.

After the show, you will have a chance to visit the collection of historic aircraft that the Historic Aircraft Restoration project has in Hanger B.
