The fire was declared “all-hands” shortly after the first units responded, bringing eight companies and more than 40 firefighters to the scene. Fire officials say that they believe the fire started in a basement laundry room and quickly spread up the rear of the home into the second floor, which was fully involved when the fire units arrived.
