Locals Create Triathlon Youth Program
Far Rockaway Educational Campus track and field/cross country girls and boys coach Eric Stein, along with Teddy Celaya and a few former Seahorses runners are creating the first ever youth organization to provide cycling, biathlon, and triathlon to New York City youth.
New York Triathlon Youth Developmental Programs is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting the physical fitness of our youth through the development of endurance based events such as swimming, cycling, and running
The organization is still very much in the beginning stages, and is looking to network as well as establish long-lasting mutually beneficial relationships. The organization has been built through much hard work, and with the assistance of the New York Road Runners Youth and Community Services.
NY Tri YDP promotes youth based programs in order to encourage positive self-esteem, build character, and focus on individual as well as team achievements. NY Tri YDP participants will cultivate values, skills, and relationships which will lead to positive behavior, better health, and improved educational achievement.
Our goal is to serve interested youth from a recreational to a competitive level, while supporting and developing innovative programs to serve participants.
NY Tri YDP will provide the highest quality of organization, and adhere to the highest of safety standards.
The organization exists and grows through the efforts of its staff, members, and volunteers. We encourage members and others to volunteer their time at program sites and events to ensure the quality and safety that are associated with our organization.
