Photos by Miriam Rosenberg A little more than 20 months after ground was broken and O’Donohue Park on Beach 17 Street and Seagirt Boulevard began to be dismantled, the Parks Department opened the rest of Rockaway East Park – between Beach 15 and Beach 13 Streets – on Tuesday. The adjoining skateboard park on Beach 13 Street was opened in October. Early Tuesday evening families were already making use of the picnic tables, children were in the play area, and people were walking through the pathways and on the rolling lawn.
