New Murals Adorn Bayswater Park

By Miriam Rosenberg

Bayswater Park is now awash with color as two new murals cover the once white walls at the entrance to the park. The murals were made possible by a $1,000 grant, presented to Rockaway’s MakeMyMotherProud, from the Citizens Committee for New York, along with support from the Parks Department. Local artist Geoff Rawling took the art of the various young people who won an art contest and made one design to form the murals, painted during the weekend of June 30.
