Is Bloomberg Selling Or Saving Federal Housing?

Dear Editor,

Is Mayor Bloomberg trying to save or sell federal property and public housing to his developer friends? Why is it rumored that he is trying to sell New York property to international dealers via Citibank? Why did he send a staff member to Citibank? Do New York politicians have a housing expansion program which involves more loss of land, or were angry U.S. veterans just blowing off steam at a recent meeting? What are the facts? Will we soon have to mail our rent checks to a foreign nation?

I am not picking on Mayor Bloomberg. I believe that the entire nation became under siege by a decade of GOP leadership. Many elderly, retired and middle class members of our society live in federal housing. And I doubt that most of our senior citizens have the capability of paying high rent, in case the mayor wants to cut deals with developers.

Should there be more investigations by the intelligence community about the rapid sale of New York property to international investors?

Mayor Bloomberg has done some wonderful things for our city and there has been a lot of progress and improvement in our neighborhoods. But his talents should never be about displacing New York natives out of the city.
