Wave Wrong On Death

Dear Editor,

I am very disgusted to read the story about the boy who plunged to his death. The story of this boy’s death is false.

I don’t know what police source gave you the wrong information about what happened to this young man. But I can tell you your report is wrong and a new article must be written explaining what really happened to him.

He was never a suspect in any robbery; he, in fact, was a victim himself. A gang of kids started a fight with him over a seat, they pulled a knife out and this young man was cornered, had no choice but to try to escape his attackers and that’s how he fell to his death.

You should be ashamed to make this young man out to be a criminal! By the way, his mother will be burying him tomorrow, the day that would have been his 22nd birthday. Internal Affairs questioned the victim’s friends that witnessed what truly happened because there were clothed officers on the platform that chose to talk on their cell phones and ignore the cries of help from witnesses and the police officers told the MTA to leave the station after they had already known the boy was dead.

Please rewrite the story, get the facts and apologize to the family for printing such a false horrible story. And then maybe people will want to read your paper; but remember, a good reporter will only print facts not hearsay!
