Kosmos’Nikh Girls Win Father’s Day Tournament


Kosmos’ Nemesis Girls U8 team finished in second place in the Father’s Day Tournament. Kosmos’ Nemesis Girls U8 team finished in second place in the Father’s Day Tournament. On Saturday, Kosmos’ Nikh girls U10 team won the Kosmos’ 16th Father’s Day Tournament at Kissena Park. Nikh started their morning by defeating their long time rivals Gjoa SC Comets 7- 1. They continued winning their games again Massapequa Hurricanes 4-1 and their friends Plainview/Old Bethpage Breakers 3- 1. Nikh met up with the Breakers in the finals in a good and challenging game. During the second have with eight minutes to go Plainview tied the score 1-1. Nikh took a deep breathe and furiously went after all balls attempting to make the breaking shot on goal.

With less than two minutes left, the referee gave both teams warnings that they were not allowed to sub anymore in case the game went into penalty shootouts. Nikh took a right corner kick which our left wing struck into the goal.
