The Chefs Of The Future At St. Camillus

On Tuesday May 29, the kindergarten and first grade classes of St. Camillus School went on a field trip to The Young Chef’s Academy in Forest Hills, Queens. Under the guidance of Chefs Chris, Joe, and Nicholas the children learned about the culinary arts and the proper way to prepare food. The children were showed how to make cheesy bread sticks and then participated in the process. Before leaving the academy each child was given a box containing the bread sticks that they had made. The children left with smiles on their faces and a sense of accomplishment.
