Pepper Steppers Win At States

Stan’s Pepper Steppers Double Dutch teams earned the opportunity to represent New York State in the 2012 American Double Dutch League World Invitational Championships from June 14-16.

The Pepper Steppers competed at the New York State Double Dutch Championships at Law Enforcement and Public Safety on May 19. The open division team won the crowd with a dazzling display of speed and tricks to earn the top score.

The Jr. Pepper Steppers placed second in the High School Division. The Baby Pepper Steppers placed third in the fourth grade division. Also competing was Stan’s “Step by Step’ open division teams, “Once Upon a Time” high school team and “Every Day Jumpers” sixth grade team.

The Pepper Steppers, Jr. Pepper Steppers, Baby Pepper Steppers and Step By Step teams will compete in the ADDL Championships in Sumter, South Carolina. Also advancing was the third, fourth and fifth grade teams from Mrs. Brown Jumpers, coached by Linda Brown, who are the sister team of the Pepper Steppers, located in Brooklyn.

The Pepper Steppers team, coaches, and officials include: Stan Brown, Linda Brown, Yatte Brown, Carol Walker, Tanasia Walker, Patrice Saunders, Paul Bowen, Laa’Neisha Jones, Peter Alvarez, Katherine Rocha, Robeisha Davis, Tyesha Arnette, Akeela Williams, Tiana Dixon, Bryanna Johnson, Judine Watkis, Melody Thompson, Cherise Davenport, Raquel Davenport, Quianna Brown, Jasmine Vann, Latia Morris, Breanne McKenzie, Javon Langston and Sydney Smart.
