Roseanna J. O’Neill
Roseanna J. O’Neill, 90, a former Rockaway resident, died May 19.
O’Neill was a graduate of St. Aloysius Parochial School and Grover Cleveland High School, both in Queens, New York. She worked for Bank of the Manhattan Company, now JP Morgan Chase, Maspeth, New York and Wheeler Shipyard in College Point, New York where she was she was secretary to the mayor in charge. She was past president of the Rockaway Rotarians and past president of the Mothers Club of Stella Maris High School. O’Neill was a member of the Rockaway Council Knights of Columbus Columbiettes, and the Alzheimers Family Organization in New Port Richey, Florida. She was a parishioner at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church.
O’Neill was preceded in death by her husband, William H. O’Neill whom she married on September 18, 1943.
She is survived by her children, Mary Elliott of Holiday, Florida and Theresa Stancik (Richard) of Belle Harbor; grandchildren, Raymond Henry (Kathy) of Belle Harbor and Tara Elliott of Clearwater, Florida; great-grandchildren, Raymond Henry and Haley Rose Henry of Belle Harbor and Lenny, Nico, Ariella and Esaias of Clearwater, Florida.
Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Dobies Funeral Home in Holiday, Florida.
