Little Stars Step Up To The Challenge



Reach For The STARS! 1st Step Program children “Stepped Up” this week. The threeand four-year-old students demonstrated a little of what they have learned throughout the year by singing in Sign Language and Italian and performing Science and Social Studies demonstrations, such as reciting fun facts about New York State. Family, friends and instructors were on hand to celebrate the children’s first step to a higher education and stepping up to a new level of learning. Instructors Erin Phillips and Sara Kaye were present, as well as the director of the program, Frances O. Scarantino. Senator Joseph Addabbo and Assemblyman Phillip Goldfeder were also in attendance and handed out certificates from their office to each and every child.
