Beachside Bungalow Hosts Jane's Walk

More than two dozen people joined Beachside Bungalow Preservation Association on Saturday, May 5 for Jane’s Walk through the bungalow neighborhoods of Far Rockaway. Jane’s Walk is an annual series of neighborhood walking tours, which were named after urban activist and writer Jane Jacobs. The event takes place on the first weekend of May to coincide with Jacobs’ birthday. Since its inception in 2007, the event has taken place in cities around the world. Issues discussed on the walk can range from social issues, architecture, history and cultural influences.
