JASA Celebrates National Volunteer Week

Mary Trucchio Mary Trucchio JASA Roy Reuther Senior Center honored their volunteers at a special luncheon at the senior center. April 15-21 was National Volunteer Week 2012: “Making a Difference in the Lives of Others.“ Elaine Rockoff, director of Community Programs, was on hand to present a special gift to each volunteer. Keith Dumansky, chief of staff for Assemblyman Phil Goldfeder, helped honor the volunteers with personalized New York State Assembly Citations presented to 15 honorees. Sydney Lombardi, Senior Center director, gave each volunteer a lovely tote bag stating “Volunteers make a difference every day” and “Thanks for all you do!” They had a delicious lunch to celebrate everyone who makes the Senior Center the special place it is.
