Hooded Robbers Beat Victim With Bat

22-10 New Haven Avenue (Google Street View) 22-10 New Haven Avenue (Google Street View) A Far Rockaway man was arrested by 101 Precinct police for his role in allegedly beating and robbing a man inside a building at 22-10 New Haven Avenue at around 8 p.m. on March 15.

Andy Carvajal, 21, and two other suspects, who are still at large, approached the victim wearing hooded sweatshirts inside the hallway of the building, beat him up and went through his pockets, taking everything of value. One of the unapprehended suspects allegedly struck the victim in the head with a bat before robbing him, causing him to be treated at St. John’s Episcopal Hospital for his injuries.

Carvajal was arraigned at Queens Criminal Court and charged with robbery and assault. He was held on $15,000 bail.
