Michael F. Keller
Michael F. Keller, a longtime Rockaway resident, died April 7.
Keller was born in Kilrush, County Clare, Ireland. He was a resident of Rockaway for more than 50 years and worked for the New York City Transit Authority. Prior to that, Keller served in the U.S. Army from 1957 to 1959. He is the past president of Division 21 AOH, past president of the Queens County Board AOH, grand marshal Rockaway St. Patrick’s Day Parade, aid to grand marshal from Queens County for NYC St. Patrick’s Day Parade, 1999, a lifetime member of Knights of Columbus and active Member of St. Rose of Lima Parish.
He is survived by his wife, Betty nee Cremins Keller; children, Eileen Dombroski (John), Kathy Budney (Paul), Christina Keller, Michael (Julanne) and Mary Ellen Keller-Ciliberti (Charlie); brothers, Jerry, Dan, Harry and P.J. Keller; sisters, Rae, Noreen and Betty; grandchildren, John, Daniel, Kelly Anne, Elizabeth, Anthony, Kirsten, Courtney, Kaleigh, Mikey, Frankie and Charlie.
Funeral arrangements were entrusted to the Denis S. O’Connor Funeral Home, Rockaway Beach. A funeral mass took place at St. Rose of Lima Church, Rockaway Beach. Interment followed at St. Raymond’s Cemetery, Bronx, New York.
