Village Academy Students Have Heart
Village Academy students of class 601/701, 602, and 605 thoughtfully created hearts that were donated to the pediatrics unit at St. John’s hospital, where many of the students were born and/or have visited relatives. The students gave back to their community through volunteering and creating original artwork for local patients. The idea came about as the school celebrated Valentine’s Day.
As many focused on love and appreciation, the students wanted to express love and sympathy to patients that are not as fortunate to be home with loved ones.
Dozens of hearts were created wishing the patients good health. The hearts have adorned the walls of the pediatric unit of the hospital as a reminder to those in need of a cheer that they are cared about.
