St.Camillus/Virgilius Ends Season On High Note

SCV boys’ basketball team ended their season losing in the semifinals to Our Lady of Hope, 23-21, in the St. Thomas the Apostle tournament. Head Coach Billy Hofmann’s team had a record of 12-9 in the regular season. In those 9 losses, the team only lost by a margin of 5 points or less. SCV was led by leading scorer Michael Lynch, scoring a total of 150 points for the season. Shawn Cavanagh and Michael Henglein scored 105 and 100 points, respectively. The quickness of Conner Bradwisch and the aggressive rebounding by Johnny Weiss played well together, along with the team’s three high scorers. Anthony Markle came off the bench as the sixth man and added a spark to SCV offense. The rest of the team is Jack Allen, Michael O’Connell, Nicholas Galimi, and Brendan Trudden, coming off the bench to play hard during the season and contribute in the team’s big games. The SCV awards dinner dance is Saturday, June 9 at the Bungalow Bar.
