Unworthy Enemies

Dear Editor,

Newspapers and electronic media are full of stories about the burning of Muslim holy books; this is something I condemn and believe the American people should know about, and they do. One has to assume the possibility that the burning of the Muslim holy books was an accident and not a deliberate act or a case of stupidity by an individual or a small group of ignorant people.

The Army has apologized; an apology came from the White House for this deed. What disturbs me is that the religion of peace is waging a war against all other religions and the media is silent and so is the White House. Churches and synagogues are set aflame or blown up, Christian Bibles and Hebrew Torahs are burned by the hundreds if not thousands. Statues of Buddha are deliberately destroyed. In the Muslim world just owning a Bible is a capital offense; did anyone at any time apologize for those deeds? Did Saudi Arabia apologize for the dastardly deed of 9-11-2001, were not most perpetrators of that crime of Saudi Arabian descent? Did Pakistan apologize for giving sanctuary to the villain Osama Bin Laden?

In Iran a priest is condemned by a Muslim lawful court to die for being a Christian, to save his life he must renounce his Christian faith and return to Islam. If anyone has ever apologized I never heard of it.

Those are banner headlines for the printed and electronic media not irrelevant pictures and stories that mean nothing or very little to the well being of our beloved homeland or to our troops on the front line that risk their lives to save corrupt enemy nations that are not deserving the effort and scarifies made.

JOSEPH CEDAR
