Recent Wave Edition
I am writing in response to a few things that caught my attention in the most recent edition of The Wave. I usually do not agree with Joan Mettler but her letter about the gas pipeline and Rockaway being the Vieques of the United States was correct.
Also the article concerning the grading of bodegas, delis, and restaurants was interesting. The owner talked about how the changes would be good for the workers. How so? Most of the workers in stores like Garden Best work 13-hour days, have no lunch breaks, and make less than minimum wage.
Then we have Howard Schwach spouting his venom against Republicans. Claiming Republicans who don’t have enough toes and fingers can’t count how long he has been working. Well Howard making assumptions again. Anthony Weiner would be able to better compute he could count his fingers, toes, and his....um, male reproductive organ.
