SFDS Celebrates Catholic SchoolWeek

Last month marked the annual celebration of Catholic Schools Week. This year’s theme was faith, academics, and service. St. Francis de Sales takes pride in observing these values throughout the school year.

As part of the Catholic School Week celebration, students gathered in church for mass and remembered in a special way former teacher, Kathy Farragher, who exemplified the Catholic Schools Week theme.

The week was full of other special activities. Students in grades 5 and 6 participated in a science fair.

Children in grades K-8 displayed some talent in the annual talent show.

There were magicians, dancers, singers, and the school favorite, the teacher dance performance.

Family bingo hosted by the Home School Association was, as usual, a sold out activity.

The week’s events came to a close with the traditional blue and gold student sports day.

Whether you were on the blue or gold team, school spirit was at its peak that day.
