Soul Jam Coming To Westbury Theater

The Stylistics was the leading Philly soul group in the early ‘70s and enjoyed 12 straight Top 10 hits from 1971-1974, including “You Are Everything,” “Betcha by Golly, Wow,” “I’m Stone in Love With You,” “Break Up to Make Up,”and “You Make Me Feel Brand New.”
The Dramatics, formed in Detroit, Michigan in the late 1960’s, are best know for their #1 R&B hits “In the Rain” and “Whatcha See is Whatcha Get”. Their music has been featured in the films Sunday Driver, Wattstaz, Darktown Stutters and Talk To Me.
Harold Melvin’s Blue Notes are one of the dynamic groups that came out of the Gamble and Huff Sound of the Philadelphia Family. Thy were previously known as Harold Melvin and the BlueNotes. Their lineup featured Teddy Pendergrass, Harold Melvin, Bernie Wilson, Larry Brown and Lloyd Parks. Among their credits, numerous singles and albums achieved Gold and Platinum status.
“If You Don’t Know Me By Now” was nominated for a Grammy Award, “The Love I Lost” “Bad Luck” and “Wake Up Everybody” are on their endless list of hits. The group has added two extremely talented new members, Arthur Aiken and Salaam Love.
