The Devil You Don’t Know

Dear Editor,

The Arab Spring, for most, was an exciting time, as citizens in two Arab Countries – EGYPT and TUNISIA – rose up against their dictators. Unfortunately, these two countries are now in turmoil, and suppressing Human Rights. For instance, in Tunisia, 15 journalists were physically injured by the police for reporting unrest. In Egypt, the problems are much more severe. In two cities, CAIRO and IMBABA, eyewitness reports of the violence have stated: The Military just stood there and did nothing. Over the past three months, over 10,000 civilians have been tried in military courts, and most have been found guilty, as the trials are not fair. I have not heard any of the Republican candidates for president make any mention of this, nor have I heard anyone in the Obama Administration mention this. If Egypt thinks the world is not watching this, how many more Christians will be suppressed, or killed. The United States sends BILLIONS of dollars to EGYPT annually, to be used by the military. Well, if the military is standing idly by as the murdering is taking place, what is the Military doing with the money??
