Sorrentino Recreation Center Happenings
Three basketball teams from the Sorrentino Recreational Center will compete in the Millennium Citi-Wide Basketball Tournament. The program is sponsored by the City of New York Parks and Recreation. The tournament will start on Saturday, February 11. The tournament will run until April 7.
The 8-10 year old co-ed team will play at 10 a.m. at the Sorrentino Center. The 11-13 team will play at Al Oerter Recreation Center at 12:30 p.m. The 14-16 team will also play at Al Oerter starting at 2:30 p.m.
The New York Rangers Street Hockey Program will be running a clinic today from 5 to 6 p.m. Former New York Rangers player Nick Fotiu will help conduct the clinic.
The Baby Pepper Steppers will jump at the Sandy Fortune Memorial Double Dutch Tournament on Saturday, February 11 in Manhattan.

The first annual Joy of Life Tournament continued this past week with undefeated Up Da Beach leading the division with a 3-0 record.
Just behind the first place team is Rich and Famous (2-1); Team Deuce (2-1); Long Beach (1-2) and the Da Corner Boys (0-4). All games are played on Tuesdays at the Sorrentino Center starting at 7 p.m.
The 30+ Quality of Life Basketball Tournament continues their regular season with games being played on Thursdays and Fridays starting at 7 p.m.
Hood 2 Hood is first place at 3-0, followed by Team Likdat (2-1); Diamonds and Patron (2-1); Running Rebels (1-2); NYPD (1-2) and Team Deuce (0-3).
