Pervert Para Busted At BCHS
A paraprofessional assigned to Beach Channel High School was walked out of the school in handcuffs on January 26, charged with having consensual sex with a 16- year-old student in his car at several locations throughout the peninsula.
Court papers identify the school employee as Alfred Walcott, 46, of 54-75 Almeda Avenue in Arverne.
Prosecutors charge that Walcott had sexual contact with the unidentified teen in his car five times between March and June of last year.
The victim, now 17, recently told her mother about the incidents and the mother contacted police officials.
According to court papers supplied by Queens District Attorney Richard Brown, the sexual liaisons took place in the vicinity of Beach 32 Street and Sprayview Avenue, nearby Walcott’s home; in a parking lot in the vicinity of 14-79 Beach Channel Drive; in the vicinity of Beach 54 Street and Almeda Avenue; and nearby the school at 100-00 Beach Channel Drive.
Margie Feinberg, a spokesperson for the Department of Education, confirmed Walcott’s arrest, adding that he has been suspended without pay pending the findings of the court.
Walcott was arraigned in Queens Criminal Court on January 26, charged with five counts of rape in the third degree, five counts of criminal sexual act in the third degree and endangering the welfare of a child.
His bail was set at $5,000 for his next court date, which has been scheduled for February 14.
