Aaron Lewis Of Staind Performing Acoustic Set
Live Nation is pleased to present Aaron Lewis of Staind in an acoustic performance at the NYCB THEATRE AT WESTBURY on Sunday, February 19th at 8 p.m. Aaron Lewis is the lead vocalist and rhythm guitarist for the rock group Staind. His debut solo album, Town Line, was released in 2011. “Country Boy,” the first single from this five song EP, features country legends Charlie Daniels and George Jones as well as Chris Young. Town Line also includes the track, “Tangled Up In You,” a re-recording of the song from Staind’s album, The Illusion of Progress. Country music comes naturally for Aaron Lewis. In fact, the Staind frontman never strayed very far from country. It’s something that he grew up with. It’s something that he comes back to. It’s something that inspires him. It’s something that’s in his blood. Hints of that are present in the stripped honesty and acoustic melodies of Staind hits such as “Outside,” “It’s Been Awhile,” and “So Far Away.”
Lewis has been performing solo acoustic shows since he was 17 and still does today. He has written and performed many songs that have never been officially released such as “Angel,” “Something Like Me,” “Anywhere But Here,” and “Sleeping at the Wheel.” With Staind, Aaron Lewis released their major label debut, Dysfunction, in 1999 featuring the single “Mudshovel.” Break the Cycle followed in 2001 and remains their most successful album.
