SFDS Pee Wee Girls Shine In Victory

The Pee Wee Girls H team returned to the floor with a 17-3 home victory over Sacred Heart. The girls had a balanced attack on offense led by Margaret Murray’s 5 points and Kaysea Jenkusky’s 4. The back court duo of Caitlin Mullin and Shannon Neiswenter each scored 3. Kathleen Walker was all over the court and defensively Haleigh Twomey, Maggie Murphy, and Ronda El Sayed kept the Sacred Heart offense in check.

The Novice girls had a bye this weekend in league play, but played their sixth game in the St. Adalbert Christmas Tournament.

In the championship game, SFDS was edged by St. Mary Winfield 18-16. Jillian Howard and Ryan Carlton were named to the all star team and those two were also named to the all tournament team along with Hannah Harkins who was dynamite in the final with 3 long range jumpers. With 4 wins in the tourney the girls improved their record to 14-3 overall (10-1 in league).

The girls wish a speedy recovery to Reilly Mangano who broke her arm in the second game of the tournament and the team hopes to have her back soon.
