Goldfeder Announces Assembly Committees
Assemblyman Phillip Goldfeder announced that he will be serving on the following Assembly Standing Committees for the 2012 legislative session which include Economic Development Corporations, Aging, Racing and Wagering, Mental Health and Governmental Employees.
“Creating jobs and attracting businesses is one of my top priorities,” Goldfeder said. “In Queens, economic development along with racing go hand-in-hand; especially with the newly opened Resorts World Casino and the Governor’s proposal to build a convention center at Aqueduct race track, these ambitious plans will only help move Queens forward and I want to ensure that these plans are executed with the community in mind.”
Goldfeder also said that while on the Aging committee he would work to ensure that Title XX funding is fully restored to all senior centers.
“Serving on these dynamic committees is one more way to give families in southern Queens and Rockaway a strong voice in Albany,” said Goldfeder. “I look forward to working together with the governor and my Assembly and Senate colleagues to move New York and Queens forward.”
