The Brooklyn Aviators, proud second year member of the Federal Hockey League, are pleased to announce that forward Andrew Owsiak has been named the FHL’s Rookie of the Month for his play during December.

On Dec. 31, against the Cape Cod Bluefins, Owsiak had a hat trick – his second of the year - in the first period and added a helper to have his first four point performance of the season.

Owsiak, who was just recently named the club’s assistant captain, leads the Aviators in goals (15), assists (16) and points (31) in 25 games played this season.

The Dartmouth College (NCAA I) product skated in 107 career games for the Big Green, where he had 14 goals and 28 assists for 42 points. Prior to Dartmouth, Owsiak spent three years in Junior (SJHL, AJHL) and registered 108 career points in 120 contests.
