Quit Smoking For 2012


Addictions Counselor Adam Steiner. Addictions Counselor Adam Steiner. The SmokeFree Project of NYC is retuning for 2012 to West End Temple, led by Addictions Counselor Adam Steiner.

This smoking cessation group and program begins with “Not Quite Ready to Quit,” a free 2½ hour workshop which focuses on understanding nicotine addiction, increasing motivation, and eliminating roadblocks to making the decision to quit.

“Not Quite Ready to Quit” will meet on Wednesday, January 11, from 7 to 9:30 p.m. It is followed by six-weeks of group meetings, “Commit to Quit,” to help locals develop a quit plan, build a support system, and effectively handle relapse pressure after you have quit.

“Commit to Quit” runs for six Wednesdays, beginning on January 18. The sessions will be held from 7 to 8:30 p.m. A fee will be charged.

West End Temple is located at 147- 02 New port Avenue. For more information or to register, call the temple office at 718-634-0301. Temple membership is not required to register for the program.
