Goldfeder And Quinn Visit JASA


Assemblyman Phillip Goldfeder, Fern Prusak, Fay Schwimmer, Speaker Christine Quinn, Elaine Rockoff (L – R) Assemblyman Phillip Goldfeder, Fern Prusak, Fay Schwimmer, Speaker Christine Quinn, Elaine Rockoff (L – R) Assemblymember Phillip Goldfeder and New York City Council Speaker Christine Quinn visited JASA’s Rockaway Park Senior Center located at 106-20 Shore Front Parkway. Many local seniors attended the question and answer session and had a chance to meet Assemblyman Goldfeder and Speaker Quinn. Quinn shared with the crowd her fond memories of the Rockaways as a youth. A great time was had by all. Included among the attendees were JASA’s Director of Community Based Projects Elaine Rockoff, Senior Center Director Fay Schwimmer and Senior Center As- sistant Fern Prusak.

Founded in 1968, JASA (Jewish Association Serving the Aging) provides social, recreational, health, housing, cultural and educational programs for 53,000 older adults per year – regardless of their race, religion, or ethnicity – to help sustain them in their homes and communities and to offer opportunities for a better quality of life. Services are available in Manhattan, Queens, Brooklyn, Bronx, Nassau and Suffolk Counties.
