Rewarded For Leading PHC To Ruin

Dear Editor,

What happens when the head of a local hospital almost single handedly leads it to ruin?

Well, in this day and age he gets rewarded with a new position as C.O.O. (Chief Operating Officer) of another hospital. Crazy you say, well it’s true. Robert Levine, whom many ex-Peninsula Hospital employees would like to see in jail, has been re-warded, either for major incompetence or sly maneuvering for MediSys, with this new post. The position is at Flushing Hospital Medical Center.

Flushing Hospital is also operated by MediSys Health Network. A coincidence, I think not! Meanwhile, back at Peninsula the new CEO, Todd Miller, is racing through the hospital playing The Grim Reaper and wielding a giant sickle. He is slicing jobs from the hospital quicker than a veteran butcher handling cold cuts at a deli counter.

Miller continues to explain what they are trying to do for the good of the Hospital, but it is clear all Revival Home Health Care ever wanted was the Nursing Home. So MediSys wanted out at Peninsula, Levine takes care of business and a neighborhood, hospital, and employees all suffer.

I think it might be time for our newly elected Assemblyman and Congressman to initiate both State and Federal investigations into MediSys (who have been there before) and Robert Levine and his cronies.

While they are at it, also look into Revival Home Care and let’s see what their real goal was in getting involved with Peninsula Hospital. The Hospital and their loyal employees, who still remain, deserve this. This whole situation stinks to high heaven.
