St. Edmund Hosts Blood Drive
A blood drive was held in the gymnasium at St. Edmund Preparatory High School in Brooklyn, New York under the direction of school nurse Kathy DeMello, RN. The New York Blood Center collected 60 units of red cells and 98 units of whole blood. Administration, faculty, staff and students donated blood or helped during the drive. Many graduates returned to donate because they learned the importance of donating when they attended the Prep. Due to the generosity of so many, lives will be saved this holiday season. Pictured in the center, Kathy DeMello, RN with students and alumni who donated blood.
