Public School/Middle School 183Q Awarded Computers
For the second year in a row, PS/MS 183Q sixth-grade students were awarded flat-screened Dell computers from the Computer for Youth organization of Manhattan, NYC. The school, whose principal is Renee Peart-Zachary, received funding approval from an Obama stimulus grant.
Thanks to this grant, sixth-grade students were able to receive limited free Internet for one year and computers to go home with them. The families received computers only after receiving a mandatory training.
Peart-Zachary, Assistant Principal S. Daniels, and sixth-grade teachers of PS/MS 183Q continue to make every effort to have their students excel in their ongoing education.
This gift can inspire them to be creative in computer technology in a tremendous way.
