Juniper Park Civic Meets Turner
Congressman Bob Turner met with Bob Holden, president of the Juniper Park Civic Association, and Tony Nunziato, an executive member of the JPCA, on November 9 to discuss issues affecting the neighborhoods of Middle Village, Maspeth, Glendale, and Ridgewood and how he could be of service. The Congressman stressed the importance of local civic associations and vowed to create a strong working relationship with the organization. “Community organizations like the Juniper Park Civic Association play a critical role in maintaining and improving the quality of life in our communities,” Turner said. “I was pleased to meet with Bob and Anthony to discuss local issues such as freight, rail, air, and noise pollution and its impact on Queens neighborhoods. I will be working closely with the Juniper Park Civic Association to address these issues.”
Holden echoed the Congressman’s call for a strong working relationship and said the organization is excited to get to work with the Congressman on tackling local issues. “It’s refreshing to have a Congressman who will finally listen to the community and is eager to address its concerns,” Holden said.
