Volunteers handed out meals, complete with all the trimmings, as the Church of the Nazarene in Far Rockaway continued its tradition of providing Thanksgiving dinners to the community last Wednesday afternoon.

Billed as a Community Thanksgiving Dinner, students and staff from the Academy for Medical Technology, the Queens High School for Information and Technology, KAPPA VI, Challenge Preparatory Charter School and the Frederick Douglass Academy VI took turns throughout the afternoon preparing the meals for distribution.

The food was donated by Russo’s on the Bay.

The Rockaway Chamber of Commerce sponsored the event.
