Techno, Artemis Soccer Teams SweepWeekend Games

The Kosmos Artemis u10 girls defeated Port Washington by a score of 5- 2. Despite winning by a solid score, the Kosmos exemplified sportsmanship to the fullest.

Scoring for the Kosmos were, Catherine Lunny, Shannon Neiswenter, Caitlin Mullin, Katie Hughes and Kaysea Jenkusky. These goals were made possible from the passing skills of Sydney Colleran, Kate Roventini, Maggie Murphy, Beth Dunn and Kathleen Walker. A solid game by Mollie Abernethy, Nikki Cimino and Sophia Edri made it a boring day for goalies Kathleen Walker and Caitlin Mullin despite allowing two goals. The team looks forward to finishing the season on a strong note.

The Kosmos Techno u-13 girls ran over Massapequa X-Treme by a score of 5-0. This is their second win over Massapequa this season, keeping their undefeated streak alive. The girls took control from the initial whistle and maintained it until the very end.

The girls moved the ball around from wing to wing, utilizing all players on the field. There was never a hurry and rush attitude, they held their composure the entire match. Scoring for the Kosmos started with Molly Breslin (2), Erin Kennedy, Maria Di Carlo and Gwyn McGee. These goals were made possible by solid passing and footwork from Katie Sammon, Emma Meade, Nicole Gibson, Meaghan LaSorsa and Maria Di Carlo. The solid defense of Carli Bopp, Devin Gavigan, Allison Tipaldo, Alex Berman and Bridget Breslin helped keep the shots towards goalie Rose Fay to a minimum. Fay made a nice save on the only shot attempt by the X-Treme. The girls are looking for another solid performance this weekend against Manhasset, which they tied 0-0 earlier this season.
