Russo To Host Book Signing

“How much could your life change in 31 days?” asks the Amazon.com description blurb for Broad Channel resident Gary Russo’s new book, “Don’t Die With Your Song Unsung,” now available in hardcover.

Gary gained worldwide fame when a passerby video recorded him singing on his lunch break at the 2nd Avenue Subway construction worksite. Posted on YouTube, the video has since attracted over one million viewings and brought Russo, now dubbed ‘the 2nd Avenue Sinatra,’ performance offers from as far away as Japan.

Among many launch events, Russo will be celebrating the publication of “Don’t Die With Your Song Unsung” with a book signing at the Vetro restaurant and lounge on Friday, November 11 starting at 6 p.m. Vetro is located at 164-49 Cross Bay Boulevard in Howard Beach.

Having recently appeared at the Blue Note Lounge and sung at the Columbus Day Parade and the opening ceremonies for the New York City Marathon, Gary is fond of saying, “It started with a smile.”

And now it continues with “Don’t Die With Your Song Unsung.” Co-written with Positive Psychology practitioner Dr. Andrea Goeglein, the book combines expert advice along with Russo’s own inspiring story to help anyone “change your perspective, set goals and take action” to achieve success and do the things you love.

Russo continues to sing at different spots around the country and also brings the magic of his music home to the Rockaways. A member of the Rockaway Artists Alliance, Russo most recently sang at an RAA Writers Group performance event and also received a warm welcome aboard the American Princess’ fall foliage cruise.

“Don’t Die With Your Song Unsung” by Gary Russo and Andrea Goeglein, PhD is available at Amazon.com and other book outlets.
