Watercolorist Cornell Wins Gold Medal



Local watercolorist Arlene Cornell recently won the Catherine Lorillard Wolfe Art Club gold medal of honor at its annual juried art exhibit held at the National Arts Club in Manhattan. The art show drew submissions from all over the United States as well as some foreign nations. The art show drew submissions from all over the United States as well as some foreign nations.

Cornell’s painting, below, entitled “Ellenville,” won the gold medal. Cornell will be exhibiting several of her recent watercolors at the Rockaway Artists Alliance upcoming “Gifted 2011” show to be held at the Fort Tilden gallery.
