A large group gathered on the corner of Beach 130 Street and Cronston Avenue at noon on Sunday to rename the area “Jack King Way” in honor of longtime civic activist Jack King, one-time president of the Belle Harbor Property Owners Association and the 100 Precinct Community Council.
Family members unveil the sign.
Newly-elected State Assemblyman Phillip Goldfeder looks on as City Councilman Eric Ulrich dedicates the corner.
King’s family, including his daughter, his son, Paul, and his wife, Eleanor, hold a facsimile of the sign that now hangs on the corner. Looking on are Queens County Clerk Audrey Pheffer, Goldfeder and Ulrich.
