Police Target Dollar Vans



The 100 Precinct police targeted the “dollar vans” this week in an operation that netted several summonses and one arrest inside the Dayton Shopping Plaza in Rockaway Beach. The “dollar vans” frequent the boulevard, picking people up along the bus route. Police on Tuesday afternoon pulled over at least seven vans for assorted motor vehicle violations. According to police, task forces are set up at least once per month to enforce “dollar van” violations.
